Yes, completely. Qhushu is a non-profit project built on a foundation of sincerity (Ikhlas). It is provided as an essential tool to the global Muslim community without any cost.
No, not if used correctly. The app is designed to be placed on the floor at the place of prostration (sujood), not held. This negates actions that could be disliked, as you are still looking down and not making unnecessary movements.
To ensure your prayer is valid, you must not move your lips when reading the translation, you must focus on the prayer, you must continue to look at the place of sujood (where the phone is), and you must not make unnecessary movements.
Yes. Our plan includes a full offline mode where you can download the required data via WiFi and use the app without a data connection. This is part of Phase 2 development.
We use several trusted English translations, including Saheeh International, Abdullah Yusuf Ali, and Marmaduke Pickthall. You will be able to choose in the app settings.
